# Customers

A Customer in Pivotal is a company you're onboarding or supporting. Every onboarding, contact, task, comment, and webhook in the app traces back to one Customer record. If you've connected HubSpot or Stripe, your CRM accounts flow in as Customers with the same `domain` and `owner` you set there.

Each Customer has a short canonical shape: `name`, `domain`, `owner`, `plan`, a numeric `display_id` you see in the URL bar (`Customers > #42`), and a `status` of `active`, `at_risk`, `churned`, or `archived`. Tags and custom fields sit on top so you can slice the list however your team needs.

## Three ways into the list

* **Search** with `⌘K` from anywhere. Matches `name`, `domain`, contact emails, and any custom field. See [Search customers](/product/customers/search-customers).
* **Filters and saved views** in the Workbench. Stack filters on owner, plan, status, tags, then save the view. See [Filters and views](/product/workbench/filters-and-views).
* **Direct link** with the `display_id`. `/customers/42` always resolves, even after a rename.
